Padlet

PadletFor teachers to use with their students (Backpack version); for companies (Briefcase version).Online tool that allows the creation of a dynamic and interactive virtual mural or board to record, save and share content. It works like a sheet of paper on which you can express yourself freely and insert any type of content (text, images, video, hyperlinks) together with other people. Padlet allows you to insert ideas anonymously or with your name. It works well in an collaborative form of assessment, with the division of student groups – Project Based Learning.Available in 29 languages, with different prices. Its use as a pedagogical tool has been studied in various academic journals and conferences including the Association for Computing Machinery Conference on Education Technology and Computers, and the IEEE International Conference of Educational Innovation through Technology.Examples on how to use Padlet in a classroom: 1) Brainstorming on a topic (share the board and let students share their ideas and comments); 2) Live question bank (let students ask questions during the lesson, students who are afraid to ask questions can still ask their questions anonymously. It gives a voice to every student in the room); 3) Gather student work (for example, when students are researching a topic, they can gather articles on a padlet); 4) Online student portfolio (the teacher can create a board for each student where tey can post assignements or articles, and the teacher can give feedback); 5) Icebreaker; 6) Mind maps (flow map, tree map, or even a circle map format); 7) Classroom communication (by using the Padlet stream layout, communicate assignments and important lesson material); 8) Parent communication; 9) Book discussions; 10) Check prior knowledge on a topic; 11) Gather teacher feedback (periodicaly, ask students for feedback; 12) Peer assessment.https://padlet.com
